Hailing from Saitama, Japan, Taku Obata’s wooden sculptures carry a remarkable sense of motion and energy as a series created after “B-Boyizm” should. Obata formed the hip hop group UNITYSELECTIONS in the late Nineties, and since then he has been refining their “tongue-almost-in-cheek” styles of dance, music, street art and design.
